Alliance Green Services (AGS), a service provider at ArcelorMittal's steelworks in Luxembourg, has concluded a new collective agreement with the trade union OGBL (Onofhängegege Gewerkschaftsbond Lëtzebuerg). It covers around 50 of the company's employees and will run from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026.
The new agreement includes the extension of salary scales based on length of service. This means that employees will receive increased pay as their length of service with the company increases, which incentivises long-term employment.
In addition, there is a 1% increase in the annual bonus, as well as improved conditions for all employees, including new hires. This is important for maintaining staff motivation and attracting new staff.
OGBL stressed that the signing of the agreement reflects a constructive dialogue between AGS management and the union. This agreement shows the willingness of both parties to find solutions that improve labour conditions and social protection of employees.
