Avian flu found in Kiischpelt
Avian flu found in Kiischpelt
The Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed an outbreak of poultry disease in Lellingen, a village in the commune of Kiischpelt.
The sanitary service reminds us that several rules must be followed to prevent the spread of the infection:
- Poultry must be kept and fed in closed spaces;
- The range area must be fenced to avoid contact with wild birds and animals;
- Birds may only be transported in sealed containers.
Eating meat or eggs is not a threat to humans. You should also report a dead duck, goose, or swan to the veterinary department if you find one.
