Cell phone providers will no longer save customer data
Under the new law, storage of subscriber data will no longer be mandatory. This measure will apply as an exception by special order.
Mobile service providers will be banned from storing personal information about subscribers' locations or traffic. The law also takes EU judicial practice seriously into consideration.
According to Minister of Justice Sam Tanson, a balance must now be achieved between national security and the privacy of individuals.
