On the Rue de Mondercange in Ehlerange, an old parish house stands opposite the church and will soon be demolished. The building, which is in a state of disrepair, has been demolished to make way for a new public square that will be accessible to all residents.

The municipal authorities of Sanem, which owns the parish house, have confirmed that dismantling has already begun. Asbestos is currently being removed from the structure of the building, which is estimated to take about a month. Once this work is completed, the demolition of the building will begin.

Due to the start of construction works, a detour for pedestrians will be organised to ensure their safety and ease of movement. However, the municipal authorities note that there will be no restrictions for motor traffic on this section.

A new public square is planned on the site of the old parish house to provide an accessible and attractive space for the residents of Eilerange. However, the specific details of the project are still under discussion and have not yet been determined.

Municipal officials say the goal is to create a public space that will serve the community and improve the appearance of the neighbourhood.
