Luxembourg climbs six positions in financial competitiveness ranking

The rating is calculated on the basis of 159 financial indicators, from IMF data to the Big Mac Index.

In the index of global financial centers, Luxembourg ranked 21st out of 119 participants. In six months, it rose by 6 positions all at once. Just in March 2021, the capital took only the 117th place, so there is still room for growth.

In Western Europe, Luxembourg occupies a confident 6th place. Only London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Geneva are above it. Impressive results can be seen seen in other ratings as well. For example, in the insurance sub-index, Luxembourg ranks second after New York; in the finance sub-index — 4th place after New York, Shenzhen and London; in the fintech sub-index — 6th place; 12th place — in the investment management sub-index.
