Luxembourg to play Georgia in Euro 2024 playoffs
This year's playoffs will follow an unusual format. Instead of the third-place teams from the qualifying tournaments, the draw was made among the 2022-2023 Nations League teams. Poland, Wales, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Ukraine, Iceland, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg and Estonia.
The playoffs will take place from March 21-26, 2024, which will also be the date of the finals for the selected teams. Luxembourg will play Georgia in the first match, and if they win, they will play one of two opponents: either Greece or Kazakhstan.
The championship itself is scheduled for June 14 — July 14, 2024. The tournament will be hosted by Germany. Teams from Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey have also qualified.
