University of Luxembourg to recieve a 1.5 million euros talent-fostering grant
The application submitted by the University to the European Union has been considered and approved. Now the educational institution will receive one and a half million euros as part of the bloc’s research program.
The money will be provided by the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Foundation. The grant will fund 10 research projects at the Luxembourg Institute for Advanced Study (IAS). For the Grand Duchy, this is clearly a win-win situation, as young scientists will not only contribute to their chosen field, but will also have an incentive to stay at the university in the future.
Candidates for funding will be selected by an independent commission. The call for applications will begin in November 2023.
