The Administration for the Evaluation and Control of Care Insurance (AEC) has launched the fourth edition of its Chiffres clés report, a summary of key statistics for 2024. This document is aimed at both the general public and health and social care partners and professionals.
During 2024, the AEC accepted 9,209 applications for care services. This is an important indicator demonstrating the demand for care insurance among the population.
AEC has provided more than 18,600 technical facilities in 2024. This figure reflects the actual number of funds allocated to users, excluding cancellations or returns for other reasons.
The total number of technical facilities currently at the disposal of users exceeds 63,700. This figure includes both newly provided tools and those that remain with people for long-term use.
During the year, almost 12,300 calls were received through AEC's telephone lines. The support service provides personalised advice to each caller, helping to explain the nuances of insurance coverage, application procedures and other issues.
Collecting and analysing this data helps not only to assess the AEC's performance, but also to identify trends in the population's needs. Regularly updated statistics allow us to monitor how demand for care services is changing, which categories of technical aids are most in demand and how quickly requests are processed.
