Temporary closure of the Mersch tunnel: how traffic will be organised on 30 March

Due to the replacement of technical equipment, the Mersch Tunnel will be completely closed to traffic in both directions on Sunday, 30 March 2025 - from 6:30am to 8:00pm. The work is being carried out as part of infrastructure maintenance and is part of the planned modernisation of the transport network.
Detours have been organised for drivers:
- Traffic travelling on the A7 towards Ettelbruck will be diverted from the Lorentzweiler junction via the N7 and N8 roads to the Mersch junction.
- Traffic travelling on the A7 towards Luxembourg will be directed to diversions already at the Mersch junction, with a return to the motorway via the N8, N7 and the Lorentzweiler junction.
Drivers are advised to plan their route in advance and take into account possible delays, especially during the morning hours.
