As part of the reconstruction and widening works of the OA1004 overpass on the A6, the Luxembourg Directorate of Bridges and Roads will carry out girder installation between Friday 11 July (from 19:00) and Monday 14 July (until 5:00).

Partial closures of exits and entrances at the Mamer interchange are planned for this time, as well as changes to traffic management.

  • The A6 exit at Mamer/Capellen towards Luxembourg will be closed from 11 July from 18:30 to 12 July at 22:00 - from 12 July from 20:00 to 14 July at 5:00
  • Exit A6 at Mamer/Capellen towards Belgium
  • Entering the A6 towards Luxembourg from the Mamer side - from 11 July at 18:30 to 12 July at 22:00
  • Entering the A6 towards Belgium from the Mamer side - from 12 July at 8:00 to 14 July at 5:00

On the section between the Bridel and Steinfort junctions, traffic on the A6 will be organised as one lane in each direction, with a speed limit of 70km/h.

Organising detours:

  • Traffic from Belgium (A6) to Mamer/Capellen - via Bridel, CR181 and N6
  • Traffic from Luxembourg (A6) to Mamer/Capellen - via Steinfort, N13 and N6
  • Traffic from Mamer/Capellen on the N6 towards Belgium (via A6) - via Steinfort
  • Traffic from Mamer/Capellen on the N6 towards Luxembourg (via A6) - via Bridel

According to the administration, preparatory work for the transition to the new traffic scheme could cause additional traffic jams during the evening rush hour on 11 July.
