Bofferding Brewery to host open doors on October 15

If you've always wanted to know how your favorite beverage is made, or if you just enjoy new knowledge (even more than beer), an open doors at the Bofferding Brewery in Bascharage is just what you need.

On October 15, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., you can see the entire beer-making process, from the raw materials to the finished product. Of course, such an event would not be complete without a tasting. Guests will be offered the best beers brewed here. There will also be food trucks, music, and activities for children.

Speaking of beer, the Oktoberfest is now in full swing in Luxembourg. The beer festival lasts until November 11, so don't miss it. The festival in the Grand Duchy is a nice sequel to the similar (but slightly more famous) one in Germany, which unfortunately ended the day before.

This year's Oktoberfest in Germany was marked not only by record beer prices but also by record visitor numbers. According to the official website, a total of 7.2 million people attended the festival. The previous record of 7.1 million people was set in 1985.

However, people drank less beer than before the pandemic — only 6.5 million cups. Organizers do not say whether the cost of the drink played a role, but the average amount of beer consumed per person was less than 1 cup of beer, which does not fit the concept of Oktoberfest.
