Luxembourg events for 6-8 September

One of the biggest fall wine festivals traditionally takes place this weekend in the community of Greiwenmaacher. Over the course of three days, you can enjoy various events and, of course, the local wine. On Friday, August 6th, the Wine Queen will be chosen and after the ceremony there will be a party with live music and dancing until 3 am. On Saturday, the festivities begin at 3 p.m. In the afternoon, the organizers have prepared surprises and competitions for the youngest visitors. In the evening, children and their parents can take part in (or just enjoy) the torchlight procession, and the day ends with an enchanting fireworks display over the Moselle. On the last day of the festival, there will be live music for the guests from 11:30 and a parade of national costumes at 15:00.

The Veiner Pabeier- a Béicherdeeg, the traditional fall fair, takes place for the seventh time at the castle of Vianden. Here you can discover rare books, buy something for yourself or as a gift for your friends, and children and teenagers can take part in various themed competitions. The festival will also introduce guests to unusual crafts such as special printing techniques, calligraphy and book illustration.

The national teams will meet at the UEFA Championships in February 2025. The Luxembourg national team previously played well in the UEFA National League in the 2022-2023 season, finishing second in their group. This time around, the Grand Duchy will face Belarus, Bulgaria and Northern Ireland in the first leg, with the match against them taking place today.

The Mudam Museum of Contemporary Art invites you to an unusual lunch. As part of the project, you will be able to visit one of the gallery's exhibitions, accompanied by a guide who will give you a guided tour, and at the end you will have a delicious lunch in the museum's café.
