Luxembourg events November 17 — 19

This week we suggest you visit the traditional Luxembourgish markets and the Slate Museum. Yes, rocks can be interesting too!

Slate Museum

Why not start with it, since it has already been mentioned? The tour is organized by the Irish Club of Luxembourg. The museum has recently opened more mines, but this time visitors will not be able to see all the catacombs.

At the end of the tour, everyone will have lunch. By the way, the slate quarry is open to children from 4 years old, so it's a great opportunity to spend the weekend with the whole family. Don't forget your jacket: the temperature underground is only 9°C.

Date: Saturday, November 18 at 10:15. Lunch at 13:00

Price: Children under 12 are free, adults — 10-15 euros

Address: Entrée principale, 8823 Obermartelingen, Luxembourg

Glacismaart

The traditional market in Glasis Square opens on Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00. The best thing about this market is that it is completely free for those who wish to attend. The only thing to watch out for is your credit card balance. You will want to buy everything at once, so be careful not to wonder why you need a vase from the beginning of the last century!

Date: Sunday, November 19, 10:00 — 19:00

Price: Free

Address: Ville Haute Luxembourg

Walfer Bicherdeeg

The Days of the Book in Walferdange are preparing to open their doors for the 28th time. The festivities began today, but the bulk of the guests are expected on the weekend of November 18 and 19.

The festival program includes readings, shows, exhibitions, and concerts. A total of 175 exhibitors have been announced this year.

Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 18-19, 10:00 — 18:30.

Price: Free

Address: 27 Rte de Diekirch, 7220 Helmsange Walferdange, Luxembourg

Red Cross Bazaar

A rather unconventional bazaar where you can buy decorations, and handmade jewelry, and sample a variety of treats. The main attraction will probably be the opportunity to interact with Red Cross volunteers and get a better understanding of what they do.

All proceeds from the fair will go to support children in Luxembourg and other countries.

Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 18-19, 10:00 - 18:00

Price: Free

Address: Ville Haute Luxembourg
