Luxembourg events on November 19-20 weekend: embroidery courses, exhibitions and quests
This weekend in Luxembourg brings several unusual events that will appeal to both children and adults. Practice fine motor skills or try out your detective intuition!
Embroidery courses
Master class for 12 people. This one is not just teaching the art of embroidery. An accompanying lecture will explore the social and environmental impact of the fashion industry. Participants will also learn how to give a second life to old clothes with the help of embroidery. A ticket costs 10 euros.
Time: Saturday, November 19, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Address: Lët’z Refashion Store, 8-10 rue Genistre, Luxembourg-City
«Humanitarians in the field» Quest
The war has been ravaging the country for two years, and people need your help. Will you be able to come to their aid in time? A classic timed quest where you have to solve puzzles in a closed-off space in order to find your way out of the room. Don’t worry, admins love to give hints when asked! Participation is free, but registration is required.
Time: Saturday and Sunday at 10:00, 11:30, 14:00, 15:30 and 17:00.
Address: Champs du Glacis, 1 Allee Scheffer
Comics and Manga Fair
If you or your children adore the visual storytelling medium, you will definitely like this one. The fest is held for the second time. Signing sessions, a cosplay competition, and, of course, the opportunity to buy that rare elusive issue of your favorite comic book are all part of this fair.
Time: 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 19.
Address: 1-3 rue Albert Einstein, 14-84 Luxembourg
Yoga with a great master
Lav Sharma, an acclaimed yoga master and professional sitar, tabla and bansuri player, leads a session focused on health, meditation and breathing practices. This unique experience with live music will allow you to clear your mind and strengthen your body. The ticket price varies from 160 to 190 euros.
Time: Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.
Address: 52 rue Jules Wilhelm, Luxembourg
Mabe Fratti concert
Experimental cellist Mabe Fratti combines elements of classical and modern music in her works. This is complemented by numerous inclusions of Gregorian chants, Safed music, shoegaze and dream-pop. Each melody is a hypnotic journey to the very roots of auditory sensations. Ticket price is 12-14 euros.
Time: Saturday, November 19 at 20:00.
Address: Rotondes, 3 place des Rotondes
