Luxembourg's music, exhibitions, and shows: January 20-22 program

Did you miss musical evenings? We have. That's why today's selection offers a rather unusual variation. Of course, there will be other interesting things, too. Just save it so you don't miss it!

David Munnelly and Shane McGowan

Let's start, as promised, with an intriguing duo. Dave Munnelly is a diatonic accordion virtuoso. His repertoire includes both traditional Irish music and more familiar European sounds. The maestro also has his own songs in his collection. He will be accompanied by Shane McGowan, a well-known master of guitar playing. You can listen to a live performance on Friday, January 20, at 20:00. Tickets cost up to 20 euros.

Address: Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünster, 28 rue Münster, L-2160 LUXEMBOURG

We can have it all

An interesting installation that helps to look at the concept of family/work from the perspective of mothers. Is it really possible to combine these two realities, or was the idea created out of nowhere? A series of self-portraits will help push the boundaries of the conventional. The exhibition will be available Friday, January 20, through Sunday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance is free.

Address: Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünster, 28 rue Münster, L-2160 LUXEMBOURG

Symphonic Gala Concert

Classical music lovers, don't miss out! Conservatory students under the baton of Philippe Koch will perform extracts from Antonin Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" and from Edvard Grieg's suite "Per Gunt". The concert will begin on Sunday, January 22, at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free, but you will need to request a ticket.

Address: Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, 33 Rue Charles Martel, L-2134 LUXEMBOURG

Nekje drugje

An unusual production for adults and children. A seemingly classical puppet theater mixing state-of-the-art technology in the form of projections, frame-by-frame animation, and even chalk drawings. The story of a little girl in the middle of a war will seem both distant and very close to everyone at the same time. Performance time: Saturday and Sunday. Ticket price: Between 6 and 12 euros.

Address: Rotondes, 3 place des Rotondes, L-2448 LUXEMBOURG
