Luxembourg weekend July 30-31: city beaches and ducal cinema

This week, as always, we’ve found some interesting and fun ways for you to spend your weekend in Luxembourg. We hope you find just the right thing for you.

The open-air cinema festival continues to operate in the Luxembourg Palace. Enjoy a good movie in a historical setting!

From Thursday to Sunday, local environmental activists organize a protest camping in Luxembourg. Its purpose is to tell people that the «Nature 2000» protected area may be under threat due to construction. Anyone interested in preserving nature is invited to participate.

Due to the heat, municipalities have organized beaches right in the middle of numerous cities:

In the capital, the beach is located on Theater Square.
In Differdange — on the Market Square.
In Dudelange — on Am-Duerf square.
In Bertrange — Bertrange Beach Club. There is surfing!
In Esch-sur-Alzette — Summer Rout Lëns. It also works on weekdays, but DJs perform only on weekends.

Visit any of them for a relaxing day in the sun — without leaving the city.
