The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg paid a working visit on 4 and 5 November 2024. During his visit, he held meetings with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Parliament Speaker Konjufca Glauk, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi Besnik, Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama and other politicians.

During the visit, Bettel participated in the 9th bilateral commission between Kosovo and Luxembourg, where the cooperation between the two countries was summarised. He also expressed support for Kosovo's European integration and stressed the importance of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina for stability in the Western Balkans.

Xavier Bettel also visited a number of Luxembourg-funded projects in Kosovo aimed at promoting health, education, civil society and sustainable growth. These included the Unicef primary health care clinic supporting vulnerable families; a future competence centre for information technology; a UNDP project to develop creative industries; and the Yahyagi Foundation aimed at strengthening women's rights.

The Deputy Prime Minister underlined the positive impact of these projects and noted that support to Kosovo remains an important part of the Luxembourg cooperation programme, including recent initiatives on private sector development and sustainable economic growth.
