On Saturday and Sunday, 10 and 11 October, the town of Differdange will host the fourth ‘Astronomy Days’ popular science festival. The two-day event is organised by the Luxembourg Science Centre. The festival programme is entirely devoted to the exploration of deep space, the work of astronauts and cutting-edge space technologies.

The main exhibits at this year’s exhibition will be a full-scale model of the Apollo lunar rover, as well as exact replicas of the spacesuits used during the American lunar missions. Visitors will be able to take a close look at examples of the technology that played a key role in the history of space exploration.

The educational part of the event began even before the official opening to the general public. From 7 to 9 October, the venue is operating behind closed doors for school pupils and students: over 200 pupils are taking part in interactive workshops and live laboratory demonstrations focusing on fundamental science and astronomy.
