On 24 July 2025, the OGBL union and the management of the Société nationale de contrôle technique (SNCT) signed a new collective agreement covering around 140 employees. This was a breakthrough after eight years without significant progress in negotiations - especially on the main issue: the revision of the wage grid.
The last linear indexation of SNCT staff salaries dated back to 2012. The new convention includes a 4.25 per cent increase in the basic salary calculation starting in August. In addition, employees will receive a one-off bonus - compensation for recalculation for the previous three months (May, June and July).
Other achievements included: expanded conditions for social leave and the cancellation of one of the two Monday to Saturday day breaks. Despite the length of the negotiations, both sides noted the constructive nature of the dialogue.
The agreement was signed for three years. The OGBL emphasises that SNCT remains the only transport inspection agency in Luxembourg with a collective agreement that ensures stable and fair working conditions for its employees.
