A kilometer-long bicycle bridge will appear in south Luxembourg

The new bicycle bridge will connect Esch-sur-Alzette with Belval. It will be 1.2 kilometers long and 7.5 meters high. And, contrary to the name, it’s not just for cyclists — there will also be an impressive lane for pedestrians.

The project is already in the final stages of completion. While the Ministry of Mobility does not give a specific date when the bridge will be ready for traffic, officials say it’ll open «in a few weeks.»
