Road safety campaign will run from March 6 to 12

A large-scale campaign will be organized by the police, during which they will check the seatbelts of drivers and passengers. According to statistics, 33% of all cases of traffic fatalities and 10% of serious injuries happen because the victims did not wear seat belts at the time of the accident.

The importance of proper usage of seat belts for adult and child safety seat placement rules is often underestimated. However, the impact of collision at the speed of even 60 km/h would be the same as falling from the third floor. The belt can save a life, and it is necessary to remember that. As for children, a speed of 30 km/h is enough for them to get serious injuries.

The campaign, which will run from March 6 to 12, is also dedicated to the holidays. So the police will also control drunk driving behavior. We remind you that not wearing a seat belt is subject to a fine of 145 euros, as well as minus two points on the driver's license.
