CR189A road becomes one-way after a ground collapse

From Friday 13 June 2025, the section of CR189A between Goeblange and Septfontaines will be one-way - traffic will remain in the direction Septfontaines → Goeblange only. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of road users after serious damage to the road structure was detected.
Despite repairs already carried out, including slope stabilisation and removal of subsidence on the left edge of the carriageway, it was not possible to achieve the required width of the carriageway for safe two-way traffic. This was due to landslides and deformation of the roadbed threatening the integrity of the site.
The following diversions route has been established for drivers heading towards Septfontaines:
- via CR189
- then on the CR104 via Simmerschmelz.
- and then take CR105 through Leesbach.
This diversions scheme is necessary to avoid additional stress on the damaged section and to guarantee the safety of all road users.
