Luxembourg events for July 26-28

The end of July is not as rich in festivals as the beginning of summer. However, there are still many interesting events to brighten up your leisure time.
Congés Annulés
The festival will take place for the 16th time in Luxembourg. The opening takes place on July 26th and coincides with the opening of the exhibition Les Voyeuses. That evening there will be concerts by British singer Billy Nomates, garage rock band Mujeres from Barcelona and local band Sheebaba, as well as DJ sets by Sh'napan and Kuston Beater. The festival grounds will feature telescopes to see buildings as they were 60 years ago, as well as a variety of musical performances.
City Open Air Cinema
The city's summer cinema reopens on Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg. Classic, contemporary and cult films such as Luca Guadagnino's "The Rivals", Michael Curtiz's "Casablanca", Jacques Demy's "The Girls of Rochefort" and Hayao Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro" will be screened daily from 21:30. The program will conclude with a special concert in honor of the 100th anniversary of Buster Keaton's "Sherlock Jr." with live musical accompaniment. Admission is free and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The screening will take place in the event of rain. Drinks and snacks will be available on site.
Summer Show
The Schortgen Gallery and the Valentiny Foundation are collaborating this summer for an exhibition that will showcase the work of artists representing Schortgen. The exhibition will take place in two locations: in the city center of Luxembourg and in the wine village of Remerschen.
