Luxembourg events for November 24-26

Christmas is still a month away, but Luxembourg is already preparing for the second major holiday: National Day is still the first. For this reason, this week's schedule is quite festive.

Winterlight Festival

The official start is scheduled for November 24, this Friday. On that day, fairs, carousels, and other attractions will open in various parts of the city. Until January 7, you will be able to admire the city's decorations, festoons, and colorful figures, try skating on the outdoor ice rink, and simply enjoy happy moments.

We have already prepared for the festivities and have put together for you the most detailed schedule of all the fairs and key events of the festival!

Black Friday

Get your wallets ready, ladies and gentlemen. This Friday, November 24 (yes, at the same time as Winterlights), the biggest discount event of the year begins. Many chain stores across the country will be offering discounts of up to 70%, maybe even more.

The excitement is expected to be serious, so don't waste any time unless you want to see nothing but empty storefronts.

Blackbird Play

The famous English-language play returns to the Théâtre du Centaure in Luxembourg. The story is about two people, a man and a woman, who have not seen each other for 15 years. The last time they met was when he was 40 and she was 12.

Under the gaze of the audience, each of them will tell how their lives and themselves have changed.

Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26, at 20:00 on Saturday and 18:30 on Sunday.

Price: up to 20 euros

Address: 4 Grand-Rue, 1660 Luxembourg

Scienteens Art & Code Hackathon

Well, this event is more for teenagers. The Scienteens Lab of the University of Luxembourg is organizing its first hackathon on Saturday, November 25 in Esch-sur-Alzette.

To participate in the hackathon, a child must be between 12 and 19 years old. No previous experience is needed, but registration is required. The event is perfect for those who want to better understand computer science and technology.

Date: Saturday, November 25, from 10:00 to 18:00.

Price: Free

Address: 2, avenue de l’Université, L-4365 Esch-sur-Alzette

A Tale of Two Cities

An adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel is now being shown in Luxembourg. Considered a world classic and one of the best Hollywood adaptations, the two-hour film tells the tragic story of a British lawyer and his client.
