Luxembourg events schedule for July 7-9

The second weekend of July in Luxembourg is full of events, from street parties to high art.

Gala des Étoiles

Do not miss this annual ballet show! The stage of the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg hosts international stars from all over the world. Even if you're not a ballet enthusiast, it's still worth a visit to see this masterpiece for yourself. You can find more details about the programme and the artists who will be performing at the Gala des Étoiles in our article.

Ten years ago, the tradition of the concert began. This year the programme will last three hours and will be divided into two parts. The Gala des Étoiles features artists from Europe, the United States, Japan and, of course, Luxembourg itself. The synthesis of choreographic styles from different eras and traditions is one of the main features of the Gala des Étoiles. You will see both classical and modern dance styles. Do not doubt — the artists have prepared something surprising for the audience.

Date: July 8, 8:00 p.m. and July 9, 5:00 p.m.

Tickets: from 44 euro

Address: Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg, Rond-Point Schuman L-2525 Luxembourg

Lux Pride Festival

This year, the Lux Pride festival will take place in Esch-sur-Alzette. Although the event started on July 1, it will be even bigger this weekend. The parade, which will leave the Aloyse Meyer car park at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, is certainly the highlight. It will be followed by a mass party, musicians and DJs, as well as workshops and talks.

Date: July 8 and 9

Address: Boite Postale 145, 4002 Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg

Matthias Verginer exhibition

Spend a weekend surrounded by sculptures if you are not into movement and music. They will certainly stand still while looking at them (at least we hope so!) Matthias Verginer's works are made of wood, which gives them an air of mystery and something otherworldly. This makes the carved work of the craftsman all the more interesting.

Opening hours: Every day until Saturday 15 July, the gallery closes at 7:00 p.m.

Address: Galerie Schortgen, 1 RUE BEAUMONT 24, L-1219 LUXEMBOURG
