From 6 to 16 March, Luxembourg will once again be the cinematic centre of Europe. This year, the Luxembourg City Film Festival celebrates its 15th anniversary, offering audiences not only a wide selection of films, but also new formats such as series nights, collaborations with art institutions and an expanded documentary programme.

One of the main events will be the arrival of British actor Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction, Chronic), who will give a masterclass for the audience and professionals. His participation promises to be an important event of the festival, as Roth is not only a sought-after actor, but also a man with a unique perspective on the film industry.

In addition, Danish actress Trine Dyrholm (En kongelig affære, Kollektivet) will join the jury, which will be headed by Iranian director Mohammad Rasoulof. Known for his social dramas, Rasoulof has faced censorship several times in his home country and his work has been recognised with prestigious awards, including the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.

The festival will feature exclusive screenings, including the directorial debut of actress Désirée Nosbusch's Poison with the film's main cast. Nosbusch is known as an actress and TV presenter, but is now trying her hand at directing, making the film particularly anticipated.

Another highlight will be the documentary Terre Rouge - Topographie du poète directed by Franz Haushemeer. It explores the cultural landscape of Luxembourg through the lens of poetry and art.

For the first time in the festival's history, there will be a special evening dedicated to television series. The event will showcase three Luxembourg-based projects created with local and international producers. This move reflects the growing popularity of TV series as an art form and gives an opportunity to appreciate them on the big screen.

One of the most unusual premieres will be the documentary film Peaches Goes Bananas, produced in collaboration with the den Atelier concert venue. The film is about the cult punk singer Peaches, known for her provocative performances and radical approach to music and gender issues. The film promises to reveal not only her stage career, but also the personality behind her eccentric image.

The festival organisers emphasise that this year's programme is balanced between serious and socially significant themes and light, entertaining films. This approach allows the audience not only to think about important issues, but also to simply enjoy quality cinema.

In addition to film screenings, the festival continues to collaborate with key cultural institutions including Mudam (Museum of Contemporary Art), Casino Forum d'art contemporain and Neimënster, creating unique interdisciplinary projects.
