Fire at Schrassig Prison

On Monday morning, a fire was reported at the prison located in the town of Schrassig. According to the fire and rescue service, the incident began shortly before 8.00 am inside one of the prison cells.

One person was injured in the incident; however, the severity of their condition and their current status have not been disclosed. Furthermore, officials from the emergency services have not yet provided any further details regarding the possible causes of the fire or the extent of the damage caused.

Emergency response teams from the capital, as well as from the neighbouring municipality of Niederanven-Schuttrange, were promptly dispatched to the scene to contain the fire and provide assistance.
