The Ministry of Consumer Protection conducted a massive inspection

From February to October, the Ministry of Consumer Protection inspected 102 beauty industry enterprises. The focus was on beauty salons, tattoo studios, cosmetics and perfume stores, and hairdressing salons. More than half of them were found to be in violation.

The most common violation was a poor display of the cost of products. Price tags for goods were not visible in 69% of the businesses. As for the prices of services, they could not be adequately seen and evaluated in 58% of the establishments visited.

This time, the Commission did not issue fines and called the entrepreneurs to account. Many of them were willing to cooperate in order to improve their services. Training seminars will be organized for the companies.

The second inspection, the dates that are not yet known, will be accompanied by police officers. In case of repeated violations, the establishment will be fined up to 2,000 euros.
